Promote physical activity in your home.

Movement and physical activity can really help your child focus and attend to tasks for longer periods of time.  Set up activities that revolve around movement.  Get an exercise ball or a hopper for your child to bounce on, or perhaps an indoor mini-trampoline.  Of course, you should always monitor and supervise your child during any physical activities.  Play music and have dance parties every day!  If it is nice outside, encourage outside play.  Go to the park, promote climbing, swinging, and running around.  Movement can affect so many wonderful aspects of your child’s day.  It can help him sleep better, focus more, increase in-seat behavior, and have a calming effect.
