30 May Encourage your child to unwind
Your child works so hard every single day of his life. Summer is the perfect time to respect his need to unwind and have fun. Think about how much more productive you are at work after a vacation. While it is important to be consistent and continue to teach essential social and life-skills throughout the summer, it is also important that you give your sweet child a break.
Encourage him to disconnect from his therapy and demands, for at least a week, and HAVE SOME FUN!
Your child is still a child, regardless of his abilities or disabilities. Focus on movement, music, arts and crafts, playing, being silly, and enjoying all that life has to offer.
Unwind and enjoy your summer! Cheers to letting go and being a kid.
